Verne’s European footprint centers on the Nordics, with Iceland and Finland forming the technical core of its portfolio and a single London site providing a connectivity foothold in the UK. The Icelandic campus is the largest and most mature of the group, built for high-density HPC and AI workloads and drawing on the country’s geothermal and hydro power base, while the Finnish sites trace back to the 2022 Ficolo acquisition. Verne describes itself as constructing capacity across Iceland, Finland and Norway, and has publicly said it is now exploring an entry into France, signaling that the next phase of growth is shifting from the established Nordic base toward continental Europe. The London facility, by contrast, serves a different purpose entirely: a carrier-dense, low-latency site in the City of London rather than a power-driven HPC campus, reflecting how the company pairs cheap Nordic renewable energy with metro connectivity in its most established European markets.
