BDx’s 20 Asian facilities span two very different tiers of market maturity. China (Guangzhou, Nanjing) and Hong Kong are long-established, dense colocation markets where BDx entered early — Hong Kong data centers primarily rely on two major power utilities, CLP Power and Hong Kong Electric, and the territory connects to more than a dozen international submarine cable systems. Indonesia, by contrast, is where BDx has concentrated its recent growth, building out across 11 cities and adding a 100MW-plus hyperscale campus and gigawatt-scale power commitments as hyperscalers race to serve Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital economy. Taiwan is BDx’s newest and smallest Asian footprint, a single Taoyuan facility entering a market where Taipower has restricted new data-center power connections north of Taoyuan above 5MW, pushing new capacity toward that very corridor. Across the region, BDx’s Guangzhou site sits within reach of China’s Greater Bay Area cable landings, while its Nanjing campus was built specifically to serve the Yangtze River Delta, and its Batam sites in Indonesia are positioned to catch the growing wave of submarine-cable-driven spillover demand from Singapore.
